Calm down, man. A lot of people could be more polite when requesting a more in-depth suggestion, but reacting like that is only gonna lead to a flame war.

Thing is, other concept class threads have set a standard by suggesting things that they would like to see in the class. I think it's generally assumed that someone who suggests a new class would have some idea how they want that class to work. It's not that they can't think for themselves, and you're right that there is no rule about class threads. But an unwritten standard has been set.

All I'm saying is that 'lycanthrope' by definition refers to werewolf. No matter how far back you go, were can refer to a were-anything.

It would help if new class suggestions included some basic information for that class in the original post. That would allow a kind of "jumping off" point to begin a legitimate discussion. We would know more of what the OP had in mind and could add to or debate the concept.

However .....

Hunter, I just wanted to point out a few things you have said so far...... And I don't want to discourage you but this should be noted.

Yes, there are Char (lion/hyena humanoids), tengu (Bird Humanoids), Gnawl (monkey Humanoids), and a few others, this just goes to the fact that these are races, not shapeshifting. And it is in the storyline that these are a race created by the gods, and not some shift off of the human race. Wile shape shifting into an animal would still be an interesting power for a human, shapeshifting for most other races would be pointless, and all jobs are used by enemies of some sort or another, almost all races use all jobs. Even if they never become playable characters, having a shapeshifting class would logically need to be exclusive to humans, which is kind of broken.

The other thing I needed to point out is..... I'm sure the Guild Wars developement team have checked every class even considerable for this game, it is more then obvious that they have considered shapeshifters/werewolf, and Vampires. They already made vampiric skills, and besides adding more vampiric skills and maybe armor types for Necromancer, they arn't going to carry this, not as a class. The point here is A.net doesn't need a list of character names/types to choose from to improve their search. I honestly bet these have crossed their radar even during the building of the game, and simply stating the name does nothing. Unless your going to explain how this could be a good class, or develope a special type of skill base which would be good for this class and set it apart from other classes, your not doing anything productive.

P.S. If you get tired of certain idiots making pointless remarks on your threads or anywhere else, I'm pretty sure there is a Ignore function in the User settings, there is no point reading the posts of unproductive jerks.
